GL Accountant

We are looking for a Financial Controller who can combine first-class analytical skills with a creative and problem-solving mindset. As an innovative thinker, you constantly generate your own ideas and think about the future of finance, not just executing a traditional finance role. You should have a healthy appetite for calculated risks and act as an enabler, not a blocker. You are confident, take ownership of your projects, and collaborate with colleagues to build a scalable finance domain of the future. As part of the Controlling team, you will help ensure the financial wellbeing of our NL, DE, and FR markets. Acting as the key contact for business teams, you'll collaborate closely with the Finance Operations team, Group Controllers, and Analysts to deliver impactful reports that capture the essence of Picnic's financial story.

Tricks of the trade

• Collaboration: Show a hands-on mentality in daily finance operations by working closely with different business teams to ensure our numbers are accurate and complete.
• Financial advice: Provide oversight and financial advice on finance topics.
• Process leadership: Lead projects regarding internal processes and controls.
• Audit support: Support in year-end and audit tasks.

Your superpowers

• Relevant Master's degree in Finance, Economics, and/or Accounting.
• At least 4 years of experience in a finance-related role such as FP&A, analyst, controller, financial due diligence, or similar roles.
• Strong analytical skills, structured, and accurate.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Excellent MS Excel and data analysis skills.
• Fluency in German and English, both verbal and written. Fluency in Dutch or French is advantageous.
• Knowledge of accounting systems (Workday is a plus).
