Responsibilities

Theoretical phases at DHBW Mannheim include:

  • Basics of theoretical, practical, and technical computer science and mathematics
  • Lectures on Web Engineering, Cryptology, Network Security, and Security by Design
  • Fundamental knowledge of system and infrastructure security

Practical phases within the company include:

  • Knowledge of procedures, methods, and technologies in computer science
  • Encrypting and decrypting codes, securing networks, and programming secure systems
  • Methods of IT project management and software development
  • Proactive security measures, risk minimization, and early attack detection

Duration: 3 years

Location: The training alternates every three months between Evonik locations in Hanau, Darmstadt, and theoretical phases at Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University (Mannheim).

Requirements

  • High School Diploma (Abitur)
  • Good knowledge of mathematics, computer science, and English
  • Interest in digital solutions and programming secure systems
  • Enjoyment in the IT sector and digitalization
  • Interest in analyzing numbers, algorithms, and data structures
  • Responsibility, reliability, and perseverance
