Payments is a core product for Cash Management and a key growth area for Deutsche Bank. To support our growth ambitions and remain a leading global player, we are investing significantly in our payment infrastructure.

The team delivers key applications in the Payment processing platform based on a modern technology stack. These applications serve as a single entry point for all payments in the bank, processing over €100 billion in transactions monthly across 42 countries in Europe, APAC, and the Americas.

As a Senior Java Engineer (f/m/x), you will be responsible for the full lifecycle of development tasks, from specification and design to implementation and Level 3 production support.

Your key responsibilities

• Collaborate with BAs on requirements, technical analysis, design, and API documentation
• Design and develop new functionalities, perform coding and testing, review team members’ changes
• Work with QA on test automation for new and existing features
• Contribute to defining the future system architecture
• Mentor and guide junior developers as you gain experience
• Provide Level 3 support for the application

Your skills and experiences

• Strong math, algorithms, and complexity skills
• Excellent Java knowledge
• Experience developing large-scale enterprise systems
• Proficiency in SQL and Unix
• Experience implementing fault-tolerant and load-balanced solutions
