With the GridLab Training Center at the Schönefeld site (near Berlin), DNV Energy Systems Germany GmbH offers training and consulting services for specialists and managers in the energy supply industry. Our clients include grid operators, power plants (conventional and renewable), and communal utilities. We provide standardized and customized training, such as grid reconstruction training or switching authorizations. Our core offering is the dispatcher training simulator, based on grid control system software, which also enables us to conduct assessment centers for control center personnel. Additionally, we support our clients with advice on digitalization of networks and operational management.

What you can expect (your tasks):

  1. Trainer activities in vocational training and adult education related to power generation, transmission, or distribution (refer to our training portfolio)
  2. Preparation, delivery, and follow-up of various training sessions, following a comprehensive induction process

Optional additional activities (if interested/motivated):

  1. Coordinating specific training needs with clients and developing tailored training programs or adapting existing ones
  2. Developing new training scenarios for the dispatcher training simulator
  3. Updating data models for different customer network models
  4. Consulting on projects related to digital grid operations, with potential roles as project manager, depending on qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Degree in electrical engineering, power engineering, automation technology, or a related field (Diploma considered)
  • Excellent written and spoken English and German skills
  • High IT affinity; familiarity with SCADA, EMS, or DMS systems is advantageous
  • Proven understanding of electrotechnical relationships within the energy supply system
  • Knowledge of planning and operation of electricity networks (110-380 kV) is a plus
  • Strong presentation and communication skills, with enjoyment in conveying technical topics
  • Customer-oriented, capable of working independently and under pressure, with good teamwork skills
  • Experience with innovative learning formats is desirable
