Project developer (m/f/d) - GIS, planning and approval of ground-mounted photovoltaic systems

KLM Projektentwicklung GmbH & Co. KG, based in Leipzig, plans modern ground-mounted photovoltaic systems in Germany and Eastern Europe in cooperation with ENERPARC AG. With an interdisciplinary team of architects, urban and landscape planners, geographers and engineers, we have successfully implemented over 200 solar parks with a total output of more than 1,000 MW in recent years - from the initial site analysis through to approval.

To strengthen our team in Leipzig, we are now looking for an experienced project developer (m/f/d) to accompany all phases of project development for solar parks: from GIS-supported site evaluation to planning and approval.

  • Site analysis and potential assessment with GIS and AutoCAD (e.g. proximity to the grid, protected areas, topography, spatial planning)
  • Coordination of project development, from site inspection to planning permission
  • Preparation and monitoring of urban land-use planning procedures, BImSchG applications and other approvals
  • Coordination with municipalities, authorities, specialist planners, experts and project partners
  • Preparation and monitoring of public participation and political decision-making processes
  • Support with network inquiries and technical concepts
  • Creation of presentations, project documents, site plans and decision papers
  • Project work also on international markets, especially in Romania and South-East Europe

Your profile:

  • Completed studies in spatial or urban planning, geography, architecture, civil engineering, environmental or landscape planning, renewable energies or similar
  • Experience in the project development of infrastructure or renewable energy projects - ideally related to photovoltaics
  • Good knowledge of urban land-use planning, planning law and environmental law
  • Sound knowledge of GIS applications (QGIS, ArcGIS or similar) and AutoCAD
  • Confident appearance, structured way of working, organizational talent
  • Very good written and spoken German; knowledge of English required, Romanian an advantage
