DevOps Engineer (m/f/d) - Build Infrastructure & Bazel

Your mission

To support our company's growth and put more effort into building efficiency, we are looking for a DevOps Engineer (m/f/d). As a DevOps Engineer with a focus on build infrastructure and Bazel, you will play a crucial role in optimizing our build and CI/CD processes. Your expertise in build systems, dependency management, automation, and Bazel will directly impact our engineering efficiency and software quality:

• Develop and maintain our build infrastructure, with a strong focus on Bazel.
• Write designs to improve the automation level and scalability of the platform.
• Optimize build performance, caching, and dependency management to ensure fast and reliable builds.
• Improve CI/CD Jenkins pipelines, integrating Bazel into automated testing and deployment workflows.
• Work closely with software engineers to ensure build reproducibility and scalability.
• Troubleshoot build platform issues, dependency conflicts, and performance bottlenecks.
• Support monorepo build strategies, ensuring best practices in code organization.
• Automate and improve developer workflows, making builds and releases seamless.
• Be part of the OpenSource community and take responsibility for the public repository and GitHub actions and automations.

Your profile

You thrive in high-performance build systems and love optimizing engineering workflows. You bring:

• Solid experience with Bazel (especially Platform, Toolchains, Rules) and openness to new technologies.
• Linux command line knowledge to navigate and troubleshoot efficiently.
• Interest in working in an Open-Source environment.
• Strong background in CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
• Proficiency in scripting and automation (Python and Bash).
• Understanding of dependency management, caching, and distributed builds.
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker).
• Experience with monorepos and large-scale codebase management is a plus.
• A proactive mindset, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work across teams.
• Fluency in English communication.
