Your tasks - These areas of work await you:

• Planning and implementation of complex virtualization solutions based on VMware in the field of process technology on Windows-based environments (automation solutions, process control technology, electrical engineering) for our customers.
• Determining customer requirements and developing concepts based on our solution portfolio in close cooperation with the specialist departments involved.
• Implementation and evaluation of new server and software requirements in cooperation with the specialist department.
• Collaboration in the IT service desk in the roles of 1st and 2nd level support (incident and problem management, request fulfillment, asset and configuration management).
• Commissioning and conducting training courses on site at the customer's premises.
• Qualification and processing of fault reports and support requests via the ticket system.
• Carrying out acceptance tests together with the project team or the customer.

Your qualifications - what sets you apart:

• Successfully completed academic training (computer science, business informatics or similar) or training as an IT specialist, system administrator (m/f/d) or comparable.
• Very good knowledge of the common virtualization solutions from VMware.
• Very good knowledge of current Windows operating systems and associated services (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, group policies, user administration).
• Sound knowledge of networking (routing, switching, VLAN).
• Comprehensive IT infrastructure knowledge in the above-mentioned areas, ideally with experience in the project and managed service business.
• High level of customer and service mentality and business understanding.
• Good communication skills, flexibility & team spirit.
• Good written and spoken German and English skills.
• Independent and results-oriented way of working and communication skills.
