Job Description

As a Marine Engineer at the shipyard in Wismar, Germany, you will be responsible for coordinating and supervising a team of workers who specialize in the installation, maintenance, and repair of piping systems in our shipbuilding projects in Wismar, Germany. You'll collaborate with a diverse team to ensure that all piping operations are completed to the highest standards, while adhering to project specifications and marine safety regulations.

Main responsibilities

-Manage, supervise and coordinate the work of the teams on board

-Ensure compliance with all safety and quality standards

-Review, interpret, and implement technical drawings and specifications to determine the scope of work

-Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to project management

-Inspect and approve completed work to ensure it meets specifications and standards

-Identify and resolve any issues or delays in the piping installation process. Maintain accurate records of the work done and the materials used.

-Collaborate with Supervisors and other Engineers to ensure the success of the project

Qualifications

Excellent computer skills and specific drawing programs

Solid engineering knowledge of naval piping systems, materials, and installation techniques

Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

Previous experience in shipyard and in shipbuilding

Skills

-Strong problem-solving and leadership skills

-Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

-Knowledge of maritime safety regulations and standards

-Good knowledge of the English language. Knowledge of German or Russian will be considered a plus

-Travel and accommodation costs to be paid by the company
