Lead Architect, Sales and Supply Chain

Purpose of the Role: Outokumpu is seeking a dynamic Lead Architect for Sales & Supply Chain to oversee our architecture in Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Logistics. This pivotal role involves providing a technology vision and guiding IT development to align with business strategy, ensuring harmonization, standardization, flexibility, and adaptability.

Scope and Dimensions:

• Manage IT architecture for Sales & Supply Chain IT solutions for Outokumpu Europe (Stainless Europe and Advanced Materials) and Ferrochrome businesses.
• Report to the Head of Sales & SCM.
• Participate as a member of the Sales & SCM management team.

Requirements:

• A relevant academic degree and over 10 years of experience in Enterprise Architecture (EA) or a similar role.
• Understanding of operating models and application landscapes in the metals or similar industries.
• Experience with both cloud and on-premises solutions.
• Ability to internally sell solution proposals and facilitate decision-making.
• Experience working with suppliers.

Key Accountabilities:

• Develop and maintain a view on the current and target state of Sales & SCM architecture, participating in EA-level balanced roadmap discussions, and driving technology and vendor selections towards the target.
• Ensure alignment and compliance with other architecture domains and company strategy.
• Contribute to and align with overall Enterprise Architecture across all IT from your area’s perspective.
• Provide guidance, quality control, and education to IT development and implementation activities to ensure compliance with defined architecture.
• Collaborate with IT Product Owners to ensure alignment with the target state.
• Manage the Sales & SCM application portfolio and address new application demands from stakeholders.
• Own IT industry trends and architecture governance, development, methods, and standards.
• Maintain business relationships with management teams in SE, AM, and Ferrochrome.

• Maintain comprehensive architectural views on current and target states, and progress towards the target.
• Manage the cost and complexity of the architecture landscape.
• Optimize the size of the application portfolio.
• Reduce End of Life risks.
