The role

As a Senior Supplier Management professional, you will report directly to the Team Lead for IT Supplier Management. This exciting opportunity within the refreshed IT/OT Procurement and Supplier Management team will give you firsthand experience as part of a global team, contributing to innovative projects across all of RWE’s businesses, including Renewables, Energy Trading, and more.

• Build, maintain, and enhance relationships with our most strategic and complex (high-value and high-dependency) IT vendors and internal stakeholders (such as IT leadership and Service Owners).
• Lead related change projects.
• Define, implement, and improve operational governance structures and committees, applying defined policies and owning process improvements.
• Provide oversight and guidance on vendor activities, ensuring performance meets expectations, and monitor day-to-day vendor operations against SLAs and contracts.
• Define innovation goals with strategic vendors, develop and monitor execution of innovation plans, and communicate progress internally.
• Identify and engage key stakeholders, establish clear communication plans, and implement improvements based on feedback.
• Manage communication plans, ensure compliance with rules and procedures, and handle escalations and breaches.
• Anticipate, identify, monitor, and mitigate risks related to third-party IT service providers.
• Promote actions aligned with strategic goals to improve costs, performance, and risk mitigation.
• Collaborate with Procurement Business Partners to understand demand and structure contract management throughout the lifecycle.
• Work with Procurement Category Teams to develop sourcing strategies, evaluate performance, and update strategies as needed.
• Support team members' development and delegate tasks appropriately.

Your Profile

• Deep experience in supplier management and procurement practices.
• Relevant IT/OT supply market knowledge, with an interest in current trends and threats.
• Good understanding of financial principles.
• Strong influencing and interpersonal skills.
• High flexibility, attention to detail, and openness to new ideas.
• Excellent organizational, change, and project management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and deliver targets.
• Willingness to travel to operational sites and key suppliers.
• Excellent proficiency in English; German skills are beneficial but not essential.
