About the team

The Data Search Architecture team empowers E.ON to deliver exceptional user experiences and drive business growth. As an Enterprise Search Engineer (f/m/d), you will manage and optimize the search functionality of E.ON's applications and systems. Your tasks include configuring and tuning the corporate search engine for optimal performance and accuracy, and designing search features tailored to E.ON's needs.

Meaningful & challenging - Your tasks

• Design and engineer enterprise search solutions aligned with business requirements, leveraging Lucene-based technologies such as Elasticsearch and Apache Solr.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand search needs and translate them into technical specifications.
• Engineer solutions to ingest data from sources like databases, SharePoint, FTP, and web crawling.
• Develop real-time search, batch data ingestion, and data crawling solutions.
• Implement ETL processes to enrich and preprocess data for relevance and usability.
• Design intuitive search interfaces with forms, facets, and filters.
• Test and fine-tune search solutions for performance, scalability, and reliability.

Authentic & ambitious - Your profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field, with experience in enterprise search solutions.
• Strong experience with Elasticsearch and Solr, understanding search relevancy, indexing, and algorithms.
• Knowledge of keyword, fuzzy, and vector search, UI design, and development.
• Experience integrating search with applications, data sources, CMS, etc.
• Excellent communication skills and a strong service orientation.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team.
