Host Family Services Officer (m/f/d)

The goal of the host family program is to engage the Bremen community with Constructor University in a mutually beneficial relationship. We pair students with host families so that they can exchange experiences and cultural impressions, as well as create memories and long-lasting friendships.

We are looking for a person who is engaged with their community, interested in bringing people together, and eager to interact with students from all over the world.

Your responsibilities :

  1. Handle email and phone communication with all involved parties, providing regular updates and addressing inquiries.
  2. Process and manage applications from students and host families, facilitating the matching process to ensure compatible pairings.
  3. Archive relevant documents and records to maintain an organized and accessible database.
  4. Plan and coordinate small events that support the Host Family Program, fostering interaction and cultural exchange.

Requirements :

  • Fluent in German and English
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Experience in handling cross-cultural interactions
  • Ability to work flexible hours
  • Good organizational and communication skills
  • Willingness to learn new technology/platforms
  • Engaged with and well-connected to the local community
