Job Overview

Our company is seeking a skilled Site Reliability Engineer to join our team. The Site Reliability Engineer will primarily work with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and the local German cloud provider Gridscale, supporting our mobile app development teams and the Permea data platform. The ideal candidate will be proactive, communicative, and a hands-on problem solver, responsible for building and maintaining our cloud platform services following best practices to ensure reliability, availability, and performance of our infrastructure.

Your Responsibilities

• Drive GCP migration: plan, execute, and optimize migration processes from Gridscale to GCP, ensuring minimal downtime and adherence to best practices.
• Monitoring & Reliability: implement robust monitoring solutions, define and track SLOs, and proactively resolve performance issues.
• Automation: promote automation across infrastructure and DevOps processes to improve deployment pipelines and operational efficiency.
• Platform Scalability: design and implement scalable, resilient architectures supporting future growth, focusing on security and performance.

Your Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 5+ years in site reliability engineering.
• Extensive experience managing cloud infrastructure on GCP.
• Strong knowledge of network and system administration.
• Hands-on with automation tools like Terraform, Ansible, Bash.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Proactive attitude and continuous improvement mindset.
