Job Description

GFIC is seeking a Sales Area Germany, Austria, Italy professional. The ideal candidate will have an existing network of customers and suppliers, particularly in the fruit preparation industry, and work remotely from Germany. This is a B2B role focusing on sourcing, processing, and delivering high-quality fruit and vegetable ingredients for the food and beverage industry. Our client emphasizes sustainability, innovation, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Manage key customer accounts and identify new business opportunities.
  • Ensure efficient sourcing of raw materials and purchase of traded items.
  • Balance commercial growth with supply chain resilience while maintaining strong relationships with customers and suppliers.
  • Negotiate pricing and contracts to drive profitability.
  • Support product development and innovation in collaboration with R&D and technical teams.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.
  • Build and maintain relationships with growers, processors, and suppliers worldwide.
  • Ensure quality, cost efficiency, and sustainability in procurement.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings.
  • Coordinate with sales, supply chain, quality, and operations teams.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Business, or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in sales, sourcing, or procurement within the food ingredients industry.
  • Proven B2B sales and supplier management experience.
  • Experience in international trade, import/export, or commodity sourcing.
  • Strong understanding of fruit and vegetable ingredients, including concentrates, purees, dried, or frozen products, and their seasonality.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Proactive, independent, results-driven mindset.
  • Fluent in English and German; additional European languages are a plus.
