THE ROLE & THE TEAM
Join the Consumer Insight & Segmentation team within Lounge by Zalando’s marketing department. Our goal is to deepen our understanding of customers and translate data-driven insights into actionable strategies that enhance the customer experience. You’ll collaborate with Data Analysts and Scientists, driving innovation in marketing measurement, causal inference, and customer behavior analysis to shape our long-term business decisions.

WHAT WE’D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)
- Lead research and methodology development in Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM), incrementality measurement, and causal inference, using Bayesian and frequentist approaches.
- Mentor and upskill analysts, fostering a culture of learning and collaboration.
- Design and implement advanced statistical models to identify causal relationships between customer behavior and business KPIs, pinpointing key decision events in the customer journey.
- Drive marketing measurement research, collaborating with cross-functional teams (Data Engineering, Marketing & Analytics) and external partners.
WE’D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF YOU HAVE
- Masters Degree in Statistics, Economics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
- 5+ years of experience in causal inference, experimental/quasi-experimental design, and marketing measurement (e.g., MMM and incrementality measurement).
- Expertise in Bayesian/frequentist modeling and applying them to business problems.
- Proficiency in Python/R with relevant frameworks for statistical analysis.
- Experience with distributed systems (Spark, Databricks).
- A collaborative mindset, supporting team efforts and fostering teamwork.
