Site Supply Chain Director (m/f/d)

About the Role

My client are looking for a resilient and strategic Supply Chain Site Director to lead the supply chain operations at one of their largest transportation manufacturing sites, in Kassel. This site operates in a complex made-to-order environment, and the role is critical to ensuring delivery excellence, operational efficiency, and strong team performance.

You will oversee all site supply chain functions - planning, procurement, logistics, inventory, and warehousing - managinga diverse team of supply chain professionals. This is a high-impact leadership position for someone who can thrive under pressure and drive performance across a fast-moving operation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end supply chain operations at site level, ensuring on-time delivery, cost control, and service excellence.
• Manage and develop a large, cross-functional team with a focus on high performance and continuous improvement.
• Drive planning and material flow in a high-mix, low-volume (MTO) production environment.
• Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering to align supply chain with broader site objectives.
• Act as the key supply chain voice for the site, reporting to senior leadership and supporting global initiatives.

Your Profile

• Proven leadership in made-to-order or engineer-to-order manufacturing, ideally in transportation or industrial equipment.
• Experience managing large site teams (100+ people) and complex operations.
• Strong decision-maker with resilience and a hands-on, results-driven mindset.
• Proficient in ERP systems and lean supply chain processes.
• Fluent in German and English; degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, or similar.
