The Opportunity
The Head Asset Health & future Assets (AHFA) reporting to the Global Head of PTT is accountable for translating the PTs Network of the future into executable projects as well as PTs CAPEX Portfolio & Governance. Additionally, the Head of Asset Health and Future Assets will be responsible for Asset Life Cycle Management(ALCM) on a global level, owing the respective GSPs, Aspire templates and improvement projects to ensure efficiency and compliant Asset Life Cycle Management across our manufacturing sites.
A significant part of the role is collaborating with network teams from across PT (e.g. product sourcing teams, strategy teams, finance, manufacturing sites and development teams).
We seek an experienced, visionary leader to direct our AHFA function and ensure excellence in capital project feasibility and lifecycle management. You will be instrumental in driving continuous improvement, innovation, and strategic initiatives to enhance our manufacturing capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Team Management: Leading a team of approximately 10 people including senior experts based globally or locally across different sites.
Senior Leadership Engagement: Engage with senior executives across Roche to shape capital investment strategies and governance, directly impacting the long-term vision of our manufacturing capabilities. Drive the Enterprise & PT CAPEX Governance with your expert guidance and actively participate as a key member in strategic decision bodies as the ONE PT Board.
Strategic Partnerships: Foster effective information flow between teams, functional management, and governance committees, guaranteeing transparency, informed decision-making, and optimal alignment of all technical deliverables related to Asset and CAPEX.
Network Coaching: Deliver proactive coaching and guidance to teams on CAPEX projects, their strategy, and governance.
Innovation and Strategic Investments: Provide visionary leadership in defining and implementing best-in-class standards for CAPEX and asset management across our network, including identifying strategic assets and conducting insightful criticality assessments, scenario planning and feasibility.
Process Robustness: Take ownership of the CAPEX Portfolio, Strategy, Planning, and Asset Life Cycle Management, working closely with manufacturing sites and finance to ensure cost transparency and maximize the value realized and compliance from our investments throughout their lifecycle.
Continuous Improvement: Actively contribute to the evolution of best practices and drive continuous improvement within the technical development project and portfolio management function, potentially serving as a key partner for initiatives like ASPIRE.
Business Acumen: Own the CAPEX Long Range Planning (cLRP) process, collaborating with diverse stakeholders to define intake, facilitate prioritization, and take a holistic portfolio approach to capital programs aligning with our overarching strategic goals and real estate roadmap.

This position offers an unique and exciting opportunity to inspire, empower and coach our people for somebody who brings 10 or more years of experience in a management level/ senior leadership role.
In addition to leadership, you will need Comprehensive knowledge of corporate business environments, ideally with deep expertise in facilities management and/or manufacturing strategy within the pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical industry. A BA/BS/MS in Business, Chemistry, Life Science, Engineering or equivalent.
Proven record in development and realization of strategic plans and initiatives. Outstanding analytical skills and financial acumen, enabling you to analyze complex financial, quantitative, and qualitative data and translate it into high-impact insights and recommendations. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build bridges, connect the dots, and foster a feedback culture across diverse teams.
