We are looking for a Relationship Managerto join our Audience Development team, focused on Central Germany.You’ll play a key role in managing and expanding relationships with senior fund selectors and investment professionals across private banks, asset managers, pension funds, and family offices.
This is a pivotal role that will see you engage directly with industry leaders, shape high-profile events, contribute to editorial and research initiatives, and help grow our brand in the German market.
What you’ll be doing:
-Build and manage strong, long-term relationships with senior professionals in the investment community.
-Identify opportunities for growth by expanding Citywire’s presence in the German market, identifying new partnerships, and increasing brand awareness.
-Act as a trusted point of contact, understanding client needs and aligning them with Citywire’s offering across events, content, and data.
-Contribute to the success of Citywire’s events by securing high-calibre delegate attendance.
-Stay informed on key developments in the German market and share strategic input with internal teams to support content and product development.
-Represent Citywire at leading industry events in Germany and occasionally across Europe.
-Work collaboratively across teams to ensure seamless client experiences and ongoing engagement, proactively promoting Citywire’s full range of offerings, including events, digital publications, advertising solutions, and research services.
What we’re looking for:
-Experience: Considerable experience in relationship management, business development, or another client-facing role within asset or wealth management.
-Market Knowledge: Strong understanding of the German financial services landscape, with an established network in the region is ideal.
-Language Proficiency: Fluent in both German and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
-Commercial Acumen: Client-focused and commercially driven, with a track record of identifying opportunities for business growth and strategic partnerships.
-Adaptability & Travel Readiness: Willingness to travel extensively within Germany and occasionally across Europe to engage with clients and represent Citywire at events.
-Exceptional Communication Skills: Strong presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to engage and influence senior stakeholders.
-Self-Starter: The ability to work autonomously, take initiative, and drive projects forward in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
