Applications Engineer - Hardware-In-the-Loop (HIL) Systems
In this role, you will work in the area of HIL Simulation for the testing of Electronic Control Units (ECUs) in Automotive, Off-Highway, Aerospace, and other industrial applications. You will be part of a team-oriented environment, involved in developing and applying dSPACE HIL simulation technology for the most exciting and cutting-edge control domains.
Responsibilities:
- Design, configuration, and application of dSPACE HIL simulator software for customer’s ECU testing needs
- Testing and commissioning of dSPACE HIL Simulators in both Open and Closed-Loop scenarios
- Specialized support of HIL systems and models, including at customer locations
- Development and implementation of test automation projects
- Implementation of vehicle networks including CAN. LIN and Ethernet
Qualifications:
- Bachelor´s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer Science/Software Engineering, or related experience
- Experience in one or more of the following areas is desired:
- Development, testing, or familiarity of embedded control systems (mechatronics, automotive control systems)
- HIL simulation systems
- In-vehicle communication networks such as CAN, LIN, FlexRay
- Model-based development with MATLAB and Simulink
- Programming in C, C++, Python, or other comparable languages
- A desire to learn and be challenged
