We are seeking candidates who are based in Berlin. We are looking for a passionate professional with a strong portfolio of contacts and at least 3 years of hotel contracting experience.

The Role

The Destination Manager - FIT (Berlin) reports to the Regional Manager. The main responsibility is to add new contracted properties in their area, ensuring optimal commercial performance.

Main Responsibilities

  1. Manage the overall commercial contracting activities and results in their destination.
  2. Develop the annual action plan in collaboration with the Regional Manager.
  3. Provide regular updates on area performance to the Regional Manager, Head of Contracts, and the board via monthly reports.
  4. Secure exclusive rates, inventory, and conditions within their hotel portfolio through negotiations and supplier relations management.
  5. Travel regularly (ideally once per month), with budgets prepared alongside the Regional Manager.
  6. Maintain a positive and professional company image.
  7. Foster a culture of success, being results-driven and passionate about negotiation.

Tasks

  1. Deliver competitive contracts in rates and availability, including special deals like pre-buy, reverse override, or override.
  2. Ensure all contracts undergo the correct approval processes and details are accurately recorded.
  3. Continuously analyze product quality within the contracting area to meet business needs.
  4. Negotiate credit terms aligned with the set payment schedule, minimizing anomalies.
  5. Minimize book-outs and related losses.
  6. Proactively solve problems collaboratively with the team.
  7. Become an expert on Gemini’s full functionality.

Requirements

  1. Exceptional negotiation skills, capable of influencing hotel management and owners.
  2. Strong commercial acumen and knowledge of hotel distribution.
  3. Driven, with a professional 'can-do' attitude and work ethic; able to meet deadlines independently in a fast-paced environment.
  4. Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
  5. Proficient in data analysis to develop and execute growth strategies.
  6. IT proficiency, including good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
