Your opportunity

We’re currently looking for a Key Account Manager to join our Foodservice segment in Germany. In this position, you will manage key accounts within our Quick Service Restaurants & Beverages (QSR&B) category in our sizeable and growing Foodservice Packaging business.

You will report to the Category Sales Manager and be part of the QSR&B team, solely responsible for Austria And Switzerland.

Where you’ll be

Ideally you will be located in Germany, near the Austrian border with the ability to travel regularly across Austria and Switzerland.

What you’ll be doing

Developing and driving sales within the Quick Service Restaurants & Beverages (QSR&B) key accounts and product categories maximizing growth and profitability

Ensuring high-touch Key Account Management and customer relationships with global and/or local accounts

New business acquisition in the market

Developing the product portfolio within the assigned key accounts

Tender and price management with local and/or regional accounts

Promoting innovation and development of new products and business areas

Ensuring efficient processes to control trade receivables and optimal levels of finished goods inventory of both own produced and traded items

Encouraging an environment of continuous improvement and embracing Huhtamaki processes such as Commercial Excellence, as well as exchanging ideas and best practices with other markets and global commercial stakeholders

What you’ll bring to the role

This role requires strong commercial skills and a team player attitude. The role works closely with the Manufacturing Sites (i.e. Customer Service), and in close collaboration with Market Units and segment functions to achieve our strategic goals. To thrive in the role, ideally you have

Experience within the packaging industry (ideally)

Experience managing key accounts and selling to customers in Austria and Switzerland

A strong Commercial background in the B2B environment (5+ years)

The skills to manage product portfolios and customer relationships

Experience in developing business in mature markets as well as driving new business areas

IT literacy (MS Office, especially excel and PowerPoint, CRM such as Salesforce.com)

A high-energy, results-oriented attitude

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, in English and German (essential)

A strategic outlook and propensity to analyze and use data to aid decision-making

Demonstrated influencing and negotiating skills

Ability to work in structured and systematic manner, with clear plans and options

Team player as well as ability to work independently and accurately

Capability to work under pressure to tight deadlines

Willingness to travel
