Associate Supply Chain Manager, Europe

(based in Hamburg, DE - hybrid)

Summary:

The Associate Supply Chain Manager Europe manages demand planning and customer supply chain primarily for the EU Europe market. They deliver a high-quality 24-month forecast, manage the consensus and demand review process, coordinate production with plants, oversee shipments, and manage the HBP team to meet service KPIs. They support distributors through the EUDR transition and lead joint-value-creation projects to optimize supply chain flows and cost savings. This position is vital to achieving key corporate sales and operational objectives.

Major Duties/Responsibilities:

  1. Deliver GS:
    • Deliver monthly, quarterly & FY GS aligned with plans and targets.
    • Collaborate with HBP team to ensure proper order planning and invoicing.
    • Provide clear GS updates, explaining key movements.
    • Work with Supply Planning to ensure OTIF production.
    • Maintain stock checks and container plans weekly.
    • Inform distributors of stock movements impacting DOS.
    • Achieve on-target OTD and CFR results.
  2. Forecast & DOS Management:
    • Create accurate demand forecasts using external data and collaboration with sales, marketing, and distributors.
    • Lead monthly IBM Demand process, presenting forecast outlooks and changes.
    • Maintain a 24-month operational forecast in APO.
    • Manage external co-manufacturer forecasts.
    • Improve planning tools and processes.
    • Participate in strategic planning.
    • Monitor DOS and KPI metrics for key distributors.
  3. Distributor Management:
    • Set optimal inventory levels considering freshness and bias trends.
    • Respect distributor metrics, inventory, and replenishment considerations.
    • Ensure timely communication on supply chain issues.
    • Drive improvement projects in forecasting, planning, and inventory.
  4. NPD & Seasonal Support:
    • Support NPD development and launches.
    • Contribute operational data and timelines.
    • Set up new items for forecasting.
  5. DDD and Stock Management:
    • Approve packaging and raw material write-offs for discontinuations or replacements.
    • Monitor aging reports and reduce DDD charges.
    • Coordinate with sales on aging stock opportunities.
    • Manage excess stock through re-packing or liquidation plans.
  6. Business Analysis and Insights:
    • Automate reporting to future-proof the supply function.
    • Analyze sales data for forecast accuracy improvements.
    • Support monthly demand meetings with insights.
    • Explain forecast performance metrics as needed.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Management Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or related fields preferred; Master’s degree, Supply Chain Management Diploma, or APICS certification are advantages.

Experience: Minimum 5 years in supply chain roles.
