The Bruker Nano Analytics (BNA) Division, headquartered at Bruker Nano GmbH in Berlin, Germany, develops, manufactures, and markets state-of-the-art systems and components for elemental and structural analysis on micro- and nano-scales. This includes X-ray spectrometers for elemental analysis on electron microscopes (EDS, WDS, EBSD), micro X-ray fluorescence (XRF), and total reflection X-ray fluorescence (TXRF) spectrometers.

We are seeking an organized, detail-oriented individual to join our team in Berlin as a QA Engineer (m/f/d).

Responsibilities

  1. Ensure the quality of delivered products based on key performance indicators, including deviation and error analysis, and support problem-solving procedures using harmonized processes, standardized quality methods, and structured techniques to meet quality requirements.
  2. Develop quality metrics for manufacturing processes, evaluate product quality and process safety using statistical methods, and report findings to management.
  3. Collaborate with the purchasing department for deviation analysis of the supply chain and initiate corrective measures if necessary; create regular evaluations to ensure first-time right quality.
  4. Conduct internal and external audits to ensure product quality.
  5. Manage interface with the development department during product testing and launch; oversee and process design changes in coordination with development.
  6. Develop and maintain measurement and testing facilities for electronic and mechatronic components and systems, collaborating with development and external suppliers.
  7. Support production continuously in technical and quality-related issues, optimize production processes, develop technical solutions, and document steps for production disruptions. Troubleshoot electronic, mechanical components, devices, and system components used in X-ray analytics.
  8. Identify optimization potentials, weaknesses, and performance reserves in production; derive measures to reduce costs.
  9. Instruct and guide production and service employees, conduct training, and educational measures.
  10. Support production and purchasing in supplier selection, outsourcing projects, and related cost calculations.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Engineer degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering.
  2. Several years of practical experience as a Quality Engineer or in a similar role, with practical knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS) and testing methods.
  3. Extensive experience in device and prototype construction.
  4. Solid knowledge in high-frequency and communication technology.
  5. Material knowledge and experience with CAD are advantageous.
  6. Practical experience with supplier audits, quality inspections, quality planning (e.g., APQP), and managing multiple customer-supplier relationships.
  7. Expertise in problem-solving, root cause analysis (8D, etc.), and quality tools (CAPA, RCA, FMEA).
  8. Familiarity with statistical analysis for evaluating quality performance.
  9. Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a strong commitment to achieving goals.
  10. Proficiency in German and English, both spoken and written (B2/C1 level).
