Role and Responsibilities

As an Environmental, Health, Safety and Security Manager (EHSS) at Samsung Semiconductor in Munich, you will create a new role to raise awareness in EHSS among employees and management. You will oversee occupational health and safety, implementing comprehensive programs. You will act as EHSS Officer and Chair of the Security Committee and Arbeitssicherheitsausschuss (ASA), working with various stakeholders and presenting strategies to headquarters in Korea and management in Munich for integration into company strategy. You will serve as the primary liaison for the company and local authorities, staying informed on industry trends and best practices, and applying this knowledge to improve EHSS standards and ISO frameworks.

You will contribute to environmental responsibility by promoting plans to reduce emissions and pollution while maintaining top-tier security. Ensuring employee health and safety is crucial; you will facilitate first aid training, eye exams, vaccinations, and safety drills for fire evacuations.

Skills and Qualifications

  • University degree and training as "SiFa/SiBe" supporting your role at Samsung.
  • Experience as an EHSS specialist with strong knowledge of German EHSS regulations, workplace safety, and environmental standards.
  • Self-starter with curiosity and a development mindset.
  • Experience setting up processes, documentation, and EHSS tools/systems per industry best practices.
  • Experience managing EHSS audits and corrective actions.
  • Strong communication skills in English and German; Korean language skills are a plus; ability to train and liaise with stakeholders.
  • Cultural awareness and adaptability across hierarchy levels in a multicultural environment.
