Sales Manager – Food Processing Machinery

Our client, a distinguished German manufacturer with over 30 years of experience, specializes in designing and producing high-quality, custom-made capital equipment for the food industry. Their product range includes loading systems, thermal product treatment equipment, and automation solutions such as slicers, separators, and robotic handling systems.

Role Overview :

As an Area Sales Manager , you will be responsible for :

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand market share in Northern Germany.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
• Work closely with the engineering team to develop customized equipment solutions that meet client specifications.
• Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to inform sales strategies and identify emerging opportunities.
• Provide regular sales forecasts and performance reports to senior management.

Key Requirements :

• Proven track record in capital equipment sales within the food processing industry, particularly with machinery such as cutting, slicing, packaging, and automation systems.
• Strong understanding of food processing equipment and the ability to discuss technical aspects with clients and engineers.
• Fluency in German is essential; conversational proficiency in English is required for internal communication.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to travel extensively within Northern Germany to meet clients and attend industry events.
