Amazon is seeking Site Process Engineers to work in the EU Process Engineering (EU PE) team. The Site Process Engineer is an onsite position.
The EU PE team consists of operational leaders focused on process stabilization, standardization, and continuous improvement within the EU Customer Fulfillment Network. This team is crucial for establishing best-in-class process performance, accelerating technological implementation, and enhancing the technical and process knowledge of operational leaders across the network. EU PE ensures operations teams are equipped with the necessary expertise to deliver technological and process improvements effectively.
The team collaborates closely with Process System Engineering (PSE), ACES PM, Central Ops launch teams, operations engineering, and reliability and maintenance (RME) teams to optimize process input metrics by prioritizing and allocating resources.
The Site Process Engineer works alongside the FC Senior Leadership Team and maintains high collaboration with EU PE functions. Responsibilities include deploying initiatives, building networks within the FC, driving compliance, and leading EU-wide improvement activities. The role demands ownership of initiatives, detailed understanding, and the ability to influence outcomes to achieve tangible productivity and efficiency gains.
Key job responsibilities
Continuous Improvement
Own the deployment of EU network initiatives, ensuring timely execution and compliance. Support FCs in testing and piloting projects, ensuring deployment and review across all EU FCs.
Partnership with FC Operations
Deployment to site management teams may occur based on operational needs. The role requires travel within the area of responsibility, estimated at 0-10% of the time, subject to change.
Language requirements include English and German at C1 level.
Qualifications include experience in operations as an Area Manager or similar, proficiency in at least one Fulfillment process path (certified), expertise in Lean Six Sigma and Kaizen methodologies, knowledge of change management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Leadership skills to motivate teams are essential.
