Title: Employee Relations Partner

Location: Berlin, Germany

Work Arrangement: Hybrid

Contract: Permanent

Compensation: €100,000 - €150,000 + 25% bonus

The Employee Relations Partner will demonstrate high motivation with an optimistic outlook, displaying patience, collaboration skills, analytical thinking, and emotional awareness. Provide consistent, knowledgeable, and professional support in areas such as disciplinary actions, complaints, probationary periods, performance issues, extended medical leave, ensuring alignment with policies, best practices, and legal requirements to minimise risk.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct confidential investigations into complex HR-related issues and apply analytical thinking to examine evidence and reach investigative determinations.
  • Oversee and manage complex caseloads from initiation through resolution.
  • Offer guidance and consultation to business units on disciplinary and corrective measures related to employee relations cases, policy clarification, and regional employment practices.
  • Maintain required standards for comprehensive case documentation, including investigation summaries, outcome correspondence, and issue evaluations.
  • Ensure coordinated and uniform case management methodology for handling employee relations matters.
  • Deliver expert employee relations counsel to HR Business Partners and organizational leaders regarding reorganization and restructuring activities in accordance with employment practices and legislation.
  • Develop and present relevant training and educational content to enhance HRBP and leadership effectiveness while driving improved employee relations decisions.
  • Contribute to identifying and implementing employee relations projects and continuous improvement efforts to enhance policy frameworks, increase organisational knowledge, and expand team capabilities.
  • Lead or participate in special projects, programs, and improvement initiatives requiring employee relations expertise.
  • Collaborate with key partners on employee relations data analysis, trend identification, and opportunities to drive proactive solutions.
  • Build partnerships with business leaders and HR Business Partners to maintain positive employee relations practices.

Essential Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of employee relations experience within the EMEA region
  • Extensive experience collaborating with various key stakeholders and demonstrating effective teamwork abilities
  • Proven comprehensive understanding of European, Middle Eastern, and African employment legislation and regulatory structures
  • Demonstrated experience in policy and procedure creation and implementation to ensure compliance
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment in sensitive, complex, and ambiguous circumstances
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking capabilities
  • Capability to work effectively within uncertainty and in complex, fast-paced, and demanding business environments
