We are seeking an Electric and Control Lead (M/F/X) for our Greenfield Project in Germany. You will be responsible for designing, installing, testing, and commissioning electrical and control systems to meet project requirements and regulatory standards.

This role is initially remote, working from home for the first few months, then transitioning on-site with the project team. You will report to the Engineering Lead for the Greenfield project. This is a two-year assignment.

Tasks

  1. Lead the design, review, and approval of electrical distribution systems and power infrastructure.
  2. Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure electrical systems meet production requirements and comply with standards.
  3. Integrate control systems with operational needs, including automation of production lines and utilities.
  4. Oversee installation of electrical wiring, switchgear, transformers, and control systems during construction.
  5. Lead commissioning and start-up activities for electrical and automation systems.
  6. Manage the overall power distribution system.
  7. Ensure proper selection and installation of instrumentation for process monitoring and control.
  8. Establish procedures for maintenance of electrical and control systems.

Requirements

  1. Expertise in high-voltage (HV) and low-voltage (LV) electrical systems.
  2. Strong knowledge of industrial automation systems (PLC/SCADA, DCS, HMI).
  3. Experience with power distribution, transformers, switchgear, and protection systems.
  4. Proficiency in instrumentation and process control systems.
  5. Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP).
  6. Knowledge of energy-efficient and sustainable electrical design practices.
  7. Ability to analyze and optimize system performance.
  8. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  9. Proficiency in English (written and spoken).
