Grow, identify, and seek revenue from all segmentations assigned in territory on behalf of Oman Air.

  1. Achieve & exceed the allocated sales targets set out by the Regional Sales Manager / Sales Manager for assigned territory.
  2. Identify customers’ needs to initiate a win/win scenario using effective negotiation techniques.
  3. Develop solutions in territory to increase revenue for Oman Air.
  4. Apply a mindset of ROI to assess the true value of partnerships to Oman Air’s business (cost-conscious).
  5. Lead and activate proposed methods of ancillary revenue campaigns for the assigned territory.

Area of Responsibility

Operational:

General Business and Clients

  1. Achieve assigned sales targets and be accountable for results within the territory.
  2. Identify potential opportunities and set out an action plan to generate new business streams for Oman Air.
  3. Create an account development plan to increase revenue streams within the territory.
  4. Analyze the customer base, identify, grow, and develop revenue using appropriate actions and initiatives within company guidelines and policies.
  5. Identify opportunities to increase ancillary revenue streams for Oman Air.
  6. Be considered the ‘owner’ of the revenue deliverables of web revenue streams in the territory.
  7. Focus on cost-effective actions favoring low-cost distribution models (NDC) for revenue generation.
  8. Adopt a shift towards direct distribution channels (NDC / Web / Mobile / Call Center) for the territory.

Customer Relationship Management

  1. Negotiate with key territory partners to activate commercial objectives and ensure maximization of business partnerships, creating a strong customer base for Oman Air.
  2. Service business in the territory to resolve issues impacting revenue streams, in line with company policy and procedures.
  3. Lead as the advisor within the territory on developments within Oman Air for continuity and growth.
  4. Manage PLBs and incentive schemes in the respective territory.

Support and Assistance

  1. Provide timely product support and communicate progress and recommendations within the territory.
  2. Collaborate with inter-departmental stakeholders to initiate solutions that enhance efficiency and productivity.
  3. Support marketing events and initiatives in the assigned territory.
  4. Perform other responsibilities as assigned by management.
  5. Support internal guidelines and processes for necessary actions within the territory.

Reports

  1. Prepare a sales plan aligned with regional strategic goals as assigned by management.
  2. Provide weekly and other periodic reports as requested by management.
  3. Update management regularly on competition activity.
  4. Perform any other tasks assigned by management.

Minimum Education, Qualifications & Skills

Education & Experience

  • Fresh Bachelor’s degree in any discipline OR
  • College Diploma in any discipline with 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in the airline/travel industry.

Special Skills & Knowledge (Preferred)

  • Proficient in English (Speaking, Reading, and Writing).
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools: Excel, PowerPoint & Word.
  • Excellent interpersonal & negotiation skills.
  • Technical GDS knowledge; understanding of NDC preferred.
  • Experience using airline data tools such as BSP / MIDT.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • IATA Basic Ticketing and Reservation knowledge.
  • Extensive contact base in the territory, with experience negotiating with corporate travel businesses.
  • Highly analytical, capable of identifying opportunities using data sets and in-house tools.
  • A general understanding of segmentation within the airline industry.
