“Payments” domain

Payments is a core product for Cash Management and a key growth area in Deutsche Bank’s strategy. To support growth and maintain our position in the competitive payments market, we are investing significantly in our payment infrastructure.

The team delivers key applications in a Payment processing platform based on a modern technology stack. These applications serve as a single entry point for all payments in the bank, handling over €100 billion of transactions monthly across 42 countries in Europe, APAC, and the Americas.

As a Senior Java Engineer (f/m/x), you will be responsible for the full lifecycle of development tasks, from specification and design to implementation and Level 3 production support.

Your key responsibilities

1. Collaborating with BAs on requirements, technical analysis, design, and documenting business and functional needs, API, and design decisions.
2. Designing and developing new functionalities, coding, testing, and reviewing team members’ changes.
3. Working with QA on test automation for new and existing features.
4. Contributing to the future architecture of the system.
5. Mentoring and guiding junior developers as you gain experience.
6. Providing Level 3 support for the application.

Your skills and experiences

1. Strong math and algorithm skills.
2. Excellent knowledge of Java.
3. Experience developing large-scale enterprise systems.
4. Good knowledge of SQL and Unix.
5. Experience with fault-tolerant and load-balancing solutions.
