Job Opening: Process Engineer (m/f/d) - Plant Development Department

We are seeking to fill a vacancy in the Plant Development Department at the Leverkusen plant as soon as possible for a Process Engineer (m/f/d).

Responsibilities

  • Manage major projects within the plant development scope.
  • Coordinate troubleshooting activities in production facilities.
  • Plan and implement processes and operational tasks related to projects.
  • Participate in subproject and project processing, long-term plant planning, and strategy development.
  • Design chemical plants from a process engineering perspective.
  • Conduct weak point analyses, develop solution concepts, and evaluate projects.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and operational regulations and standards.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Degree in process engineering (Bachelor, Master, Diploma).
  • Ideally, experience in the chemical industry environment.
  • Strong knowledge of project management.
  • Relevant laws, regulations, and technical standards knowledge.
  • Proficiency in IT programs such as MS Office, COMOS, SAP PI.
  • Ability to work responsibly, conceptually, and across disciplines.
  • Teamwork skills and openness to new challenges.
  • Fluent in written and spoken German.
  • Good command of English, both written and spoken.
