Position: Senior Software Engineer (f/m/d) - Product Engineering Division

Your Tasks

• Design and develop modern web applications and digital products for vent.io, focusing on frontend development, based on a cutting-edge cloud infrastructure.
• Collaborate with senior team members to design software architecture and participate in scoping and planning workshops.
• Ensure adherence to vent.io's architectural principles at strategic and executive levels in both architecture and code.
• Code features for web and data products, primarily frontend, with readiness to adopt a full-stack role if necessary.
• Own the end-to-end development process, from design to deployment.
• Shape the company's software development frameworks, processes, and tools.
• Define and implement comprehensive testing strategies, including unit, end-to-end, and stress tests.
• Monitor and ensure code quality standards are met, aligning with SLIs defined by the SRE team.
• Assist the CTO in workshops, design sessions, and stakeholder meetings.
• Participate in meetups and conferences to share team successes.

Your Skills

• Degree in computer science, engineering, informatics, or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Software Engineer in innovative or rapidly changing environments.
• Proficiency with frameworks such as Next.js, Remix, or Express.
• Strong skills in HTML5 and CSS, capable of guiding teams on best practices.
• Ability to select appropriate architectures and frameworks based on business needs.
• Experience with designing and implementing modern APIs and understanding their broader implications.
• Solid knowledge of algorithms, data structures, design patterns, databases, and DevOps processes.
• Experience with system operation and early-phase non-functional requirements.
• First experience with cloud-native development, preferably with Azure.

• Fluent in English and German.
