Role Overview:
We are seeking a skilled IT Expert to join our Order Management team within Supply Chain Management & Logistics Services. This role involves the coordination, planning, and execution of order processing tasks related to IT components and services, ensuring seamless logistics operations and data management throughout the entire supply chain lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the creation, processing, and tracking of orders for IT components for BWI GmbH and its customers.
- Plan and control daily, weekly, and monthly incoming orders across the logistics chain.
- Coordinate all logistical workflows related to rollouts, rollbacks, and relocations.
- Maintain accurate documentation of order data and transaction records.
- Generate operational reports and forecasts regarding order volumes and status.
- Suggest and drive continuous improvement measures (KVP) in order management (tools, technology, processes).
- Liaise with internal departments and logistics partners via phone and email to resolve queries.
- Provide support and clarification during warehouse inventory audits.
Required Qualifications:
- Education & Experience:
- Completed commercial or technical vocational training
- At least 5 years of experience in logistics and business operations (e.g. demand planning, procurement, order creation)
- Language Skills:
- German: C1 (fluent)
- (CEFR standard)
- ERP Knowledge:
- Practical experience with ERP/order management systems such as SAP MM or SAP SD
- Software Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Excel (including PowerQuery), Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Visio
Professional Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in:
- Handling logistics and business-related processes (e.g. procurement, demand planning)
- Order processing, monitoring, and controlling logistics operations
- Problem-solving and communication with logistics partners and customers (e.g. complaints, plausibility checks)
