Material Technologies Expert (f/m/d)

Responsibilities:

• Manage actions and projects in line with the Innovation Plan / Road Map of MaT

• Development and optimization of rubber compound recipes in order to meet customer / internal performance request, to fulfil environmental legislation, to reduce costs

• Definition and optimization of standards for the manufacturing process of AVS components, from the rubber mixing to the injection moulding, extrusion and vulcanisation

• Work in strong interaction with the Advanced Engineering, Product Engineering Department as well as our production sites

• Liason with our customers and our suppliers in material and process technology matters

• Definition of mixing specifications to external mixing suppliers

• Collaboration with purchasing regarding “Chemical Commodity Stratefy”

• Creation and maintenance of material database and other MaT documents

• Investigation of reclamation and competitive-parts, preparation of reports

• Supervision of chemical-physical elastomer tests, experimental tasks, as well as their evaluation, also by external test centres

Qualifications:

• University degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or similar

• Macromolecular knowledge

• A rubber & quality management experience will be appreciated

• Good managerial skills to be able to lead all matters related to rubber and chemical processes and efficiently interact with the other company departments

• Good Team Player / Good Communicator

• Familiar with standard IT-systems

• Fluent in English and German

• Willingness to travel regularly (especially within Europe, approx. 20-30%)
