Description

The EU AMXL 3PL Procurement Team is growing, and we are hiring a Procurement Specialist with a European-wide scope to join the team in Luxembourg.

Key job responsibilities

  • Define and implement sourcing initiatives and contracts to meet business objectives and foster sustainable supplier relationships.
  • Manage existing contracts and oversee contract compliance.
  • Lead savings projects and deliver value to the business.
  • Identify alternative suppliers, materials, or processes.
  • Drive delivery of EU AMXL 3PL procurement metrics by leading/supporting projects, analyzing root causes, and implementing corrective actions.
  • Utilize databases and systems to produce accurate metrics, reports, and analytics to evaluate team performance.

A day in the life

As a Sourcing Specialist, you will support the EU AMXL 3PL Procurement and business teams by executing operational purchasing tasks, managing projects, improving processes, sourcing, identifying savings, creating documentation and training, and resolving issues to optimize sourcing operations.

About The Team

Amazon Extra Large (AMXL) handles heavy items like furniture and large appliances, managing supply chain, delivery, and returns. We focus on safety, productivity, and innovation, transforming how customers buy and receive large goods.

Our expansion plans include new fulfillment, sorting, reverse logistics, and delivery stations across the UK and Europe. Most team members work during the day, supporting operations, supply chain, business intelligence, and program management roles.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience in 3PL Operations or Procurement
  • Background in contract management
  • Fluency in English and at least one European language
  • Proficiency in data analysis and management review preparation

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strategic Procurement experience
  • Experience in Heavy Bulky business
  • Experience developing procurement initiatives to reduce costs and mitigate risks
  • Experience in spend assessment, market analysis, trend understanding, and forecasting
