The Application Development Engineer aims to become a world leader in applications within their market segment, establishing themselves as the go-to expert for using related instruments to solve key problems in the semiconductor market.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Build and maintain a network of collaborations with application partners and lighthouse customers.
  2. Analyze market (sub-)segments for application trends and emerging customer needs.
  3. Support MRD development by providing application-specific requirements.
  4. Assist and challenge product development by offering segment-specific use cases and verifying them through Beta tests.
  5. Enhance sales knowledge about target applications and workflows within (sub-)segments.
  6. Develop application proofs to support product positioning and create segment-specific content for sales and marketing collaterals.
  7. Provide Level 4 sales and strategic customer support.
  8. Train demo labs and deliver relevant training materials.
  9. Create validated reports on application trends.
  10. Develop job-to-be-done descriptions and use cases for MRD and Beta testing.
  11. Create application content for sales training, Level 1-3 presentations, and sales collaterals.
  12. Share best demo practices across SSCs and demo labs, and develop segment-specific demo approaches.

Your Profile:

In collaboration with the product management team, you will help define strategies for market segment focus, develop solution roadmaps, and support their execution within R&D teams. You will guide the sales organization with optimal marketing positioning for existing products.

As the Application Development Engineer in the electronics business sector, you will support MRD development and establish sales knowledge about the segment. You will be the expert within the Microscopy team, understanding customer language and values, and describing customer jobs-to-be-done within the electronics industry.

You will contribute to relevant application reports and trends, develop collaborations with key customers, and drive content generation for internal training, sales materials, and marketing campaigns.

Additionally, you will monitor the performance of the solution portfolio and lead the implementation of corrective actions as needed.
