About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Senior Recruiter / Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our team. In this critical role, you will be the face of our company, directly impacting our growth by sourcing, engaging, and hiring top-tier talent. You will lead by example, bringing market intelligence and a proven track record of hires that have driven company expansion. Your seniority and leadership will be highly valued.

Key Responsibilities

  • Full-Cycle Recruitment: Independently manage the entire recruitment lifecycle for a variety of roles, from direct sourcing and screening to interviewing.
  • Direct Sourcing: Proactively identify and engage high-caliber candidates using a variety of sourcing techniques, including headhunting, networking, and leveraging social media.
  • Strategic Partner: Collaborate with hiring managers and leadership to understand business needs and develop tailored recruitment strategies that align with company growth objectives.
  • Market Intelligence: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, salary benchmarks, and competitor intelligence to ensure our talent acquisition strategies remain competitive.
  • Candidate Experience: Serve as the primary point of contact for candidates, providing an outstanding, professional, and engaging experience that reflects our company values.
  • Proven Impact: Demonstrate a history of hires that have been instrumental to previous employers’ growth and success.
  • ATS Management: Utilize and optimize our applicant tracking system (ATS) to ensure efficient, compliant, and data-driven recruitment processes (ie: Breezy or similar).
  • Leadership: Act as a senior member of the team, offering guidance and mentorship to junior colleagues as needed.
  • Human resource management: Lead core HR functions including employee relations, assist performance cycles as well as HR policy implementation (with a focus on compliance and company culture).
  • On site onboarding: Welcome and onboard new employees in our office.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on recruiting experience, with at least 3-4 years in environments where you have grown company team size through strategic hiring.
  • Proven ability to fill roles that have directly contributed to company growth.
  • Demonstrated expertise in proactively sourcing and attracting passive candidates.
  • Extensive experience managing the end-to-end recruitment process independently.
  • Deep understanding of industry trends, talent pools, and competitive landscapes.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills; comfortable and confident as the company’s ambassador to candidates.
  • Senior-level presence with the ability to provide leadership and guidance within the HR function.
  • Strong experience with applicant tracking systems and recruitment technologies.
  • Languages: Fluent English and German is mandatory.
  • Location: Berlin-based, with flexibility for hybrid work.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Fluency in other languages
  • Knowledge of German labor law and EU employment regulations.
  • Experience conducting personality assessments (PAs).
