Requirements:

  1. Successfully completed studies in business informatics, data science, mathematics, economics or similar
  2. Experience in designing, implementing, and optimizing ETL pipelines and databases
  3. Understanding of data quality checks and validation processes
  4. Hands-on experience with tools like Git, Docker and Kubernetes and cloud services (like AWS / Azure)
  5. Strong knowledge of Python and SQL, experience working on Tableau Prep and Tableau is a big plus
  6. Hands-on experience with Apache Airflow, including DAG development and Airflow ecosystem management
  7. Familiarity with migrating workflows from one tool to another is a plus
  8. You are business fluent in English and/or in German

Responsibilities:

  1. Build a strong understanding of the existing data sources and data pipelines (primary tools: MySQL, Tableau Prep)
  2. Identify optimization opportunities, develop an implementation plan and execution
  3. Understand the data requirements of Analytics/Controlling/Data Science teams and develop solutions to fetch this data efficiently
  4. Establish ways to monitor data quality and put in place checks to detect any deviation
  5. Design, configure, and maintain Apache Airflow environments. Develop, optimize and maintain Airflow DAGs
  6. Maintain comprehensive documentation for all data pipelines, and workflows for any future reference and onboarding requirements
  7. Stay updated with the advancements in the field of Data Engineering and determine their application to enhance our capabilities
