Peterson Solutions is a global professional services company that offers sustainable sourcing solutions, certification support, and environmental services. Our office in Germany is part of the EMEA Region and contributes to both local and global projects across various sectors, providing the following services:

  • Regenerative agriculture for the food and beverage sector
  • Carbon credit projects and scope 3 emission services
  • Certification support in the biofuel/chemical sector
  • Livelihoods and living wages
  • ESG reporting
  • GHG Emissions inventory/LCA

We assist our clients in meeting their sustainability targets by developing strategies focused on their business needs and utilizing adaptable tools suitable for each company's phases.

As the Country Manager for Peterson Solutions in Germany, you will be instrumental in advancing our commitment to environmental and social responsibility. You will lead and expand a dynamic team, identifying, developing, and implementing sustainable projects for clients in sectors such as agriculture, food and beverage, bioenergy, and textiles. Your role involves collaborating across offices, sectors, and expert teams to maximize client value. Your strategic vision and leadership will drive growth and enhance our service impact.

Growth

  • Develop and oversee the company's business plan, growth strategies, and investments, aiming to expand the team into double digits.
  • Strengthen existing client relationships to foster growth and long-term partnerships.
  • Support the team in upselling and cross-selling our services to current clients.
  • Expand our client base globally and within Germany through new initiatives.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, other countries, sector leads, and experts to identify opportunities.

Team Management

  • Ensure team well-being, culture, and development.
  • Manage daily operations and team performance.
  • Guarantee the delivery of high-quality, timely client services.
  • Set and monitor KPIs to assess team performance.
  • Conduct performance reviews and develop team skills and talent.
  • Oversee full P&L management for the German office.
  • Create and monitor annual budgets and business plans monthly.
  • Manage budgets and resources strategically.
  • Present monthly financial reports to regional management.

Job requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in sustainability, agriculture, ESG standards, environmental management, business, or economics.
  • At least 7 years of experience in the private sector environment.
  • Experience in agriculture, food, and beverage supply chains.
  • Proven track record of managing and mentoring teams for at least 2 years.
  • Network of potential clients domestically or globally.
  • Leadership experience in sustainability consultancy (preferred).
