(Senior) Application Technologist Baking Francophone (m/f/d)

in full-time at our Ahrensburg site

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and optimize products and their application suitability for our customers.
  2. Drive new product launches and explore new technologies in various areas.
  3. Collaborate with sales, product management, research, and marketing teams on product development.
  4. Conduct on-site trials, with travel up to 70%.
  5. Perform experiments, formulate recipes, and conduct lab-scale tests to optimize product performance.
  6. Work directly with customers to understand their application challenges and provide technical support and advice.
  7. Design and execute application trials or laboratory tests.
  8. Analyze test data, interpret results, and prepare technical reports with recommendations.
  9. Lead projects or collaborate on project work depending on experience.
  10. Coordinate with quality control and global standards departments.
  11. Work with interdisciplinary teams including Master Data Management, Research, Marketing, Sales, and Manufacturing.
  12. Plan and conduct training sessions and workshops for internal teams, sales representatives, and customers.
  13. Explore new technologies, ingredients, and processing techniques continuously.
  14. Identify emerging customer needs and develop new product opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Completed training in bakery and further qualification as a food technologist or similar.
  • Experience in product development within the relevant area.
  • Enjoyment and routine in planning and conducting presentations.
  • Experience with enzymes, raw materials, flour treatments, and product development.
  • Proficiency in raw material and product analyses, and standard baking trials.
  • Ability to develop specific solutions for customers.
  • Willingness to travel abroad, especially to Francophone Africa.
  • Willing to relocate to Hamburg metropolitan region.
  • Intercultural competence.
  • Excellent English and French skills; German is an advantage.
