Job Description: Lead Software Engineer at Cognee

Cognee is an open-source software (OSS) framework that processes, stores, and generates semantic layers above vector and graph stores (GraphRAGs).

We aim to automate data storage, enrichment, and personalization for LLM in-context learning. Our company is based in the US with a German subsidiary, and we are currently hiring for a Lead Software Engineer position.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Deploy Cognee in production environments with our clients.
2. Oversee the entire machine learning lifecycle, from data collection to deployment.
3. Collaborate with engineers and product managers to integrate solutions.
4. Implement MLOps best practices for scalable and efficient model deployment.
5. Stay updated with the latest advancements in machine learning and data science.
6. Develop and maintain documentation; engage with the open-source community.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field; Ph.D. is preferred.
• Proven experience as a Lead Software Engineer with a strong project track record.
• Expertise in MLOps tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, TensorFlow Extended (TFX), and MLflow.
• Proficiency in Python and machine learning libraries like TensorFlow, PyTorch, and scikit-learn.
• Experience deploying machine learning models in production.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
• A link to your GitHub profile showcasing relevant projects.
