At Digital Product School (DPS), you won’t sit in a classroom — you’ll build real digital products in agile, cross-functional teams. As a participant, you'll take on a clearly defined role (Product Manager, Product Designer, Software Engineer, AI Specialist, or Entrepreneur in Residence) and work with talented peers to solve real industry challenges from corporate partners and startups.

Success in this program looks like:

  • Delivering a working product prototype in 3 months
  • Collaborating effectively in a startup-style team
  • Gaining clarity and confidence in your career path
  • Leaving with a portfolio-worthy project and practical experience

This role is at the heart of UnternehmerTUM’s mission to empower the next generation of digital innovators. You’ll be embedded in Europe’s leading innovation ecosystem, gaining mentorship, resources, and hands-on learning that goes far beyond theory.

Your exact responsibilities depend on your track — all roles work closely within an agile product team.

For all roles:

  • Collaborate in a cross-functional team to solve a real-world challenge
  • Apply lean, agile, and user-centered methods throughout the product development lifecycle
  • Conduct stakeholder interviews, user research, and product validation
  • Communicate progress and insights through regular reviews and demo sessions

Track-specific examples:

Product Manager

  • Define product vision and roadmap based on user needs and business goals
  • Prioritize features using structured frameworks
  • Facilitate team rituals (e.g., standups, retros, sprint planning)

Product Designer

  • Design intuitive, user-centric interfaces from wireframes to high-fidelity prototypes
  • Conduct user testing and iterate based on feedback
  • Collaborate closely with engineers and PMs for seamless implementation

Software Engineer

  • Build and deploy working prototypes using modern web or mobile tech stacks
  • Participate in technical architecture discussions and code reviews
  • Ensure performance, accessibility, and security best practices

AI Specialist

  • Analyze data and build ML models to enhance the product with AI capabilities
  • Collaborate with the team to integrate intelligent features
  • Document and communicate findings in an accessible way
  • Drive product-market fit strategy and partner communication
  • Develop business models and pitch presentations
  • Support team alignment with real-world impact goals

Location: Munich, Germany (Hybrid/Remote possible)

Stipend: €1,000/month

Qualifications

We don’t look for perfect resumes — we look for potential, curiosity, and passion. If you’re eager to learn and ready to contribute, you’ll fit right in.

Must-haves:

  • Strong motivation to work in agile, interdisciplinary teams
  • Good communication skills and openness to feedback
  • Full-time availability for 3 months (Monday to Friday)

Nice-to-haves (depending on role):

  • Basic experience with product management, UX/UI tools, software development, or data/ML
  • Familiarity with tools like Figma, React, Python, Jira, etc.
  • Prior internships, bootcamps, or student projects related to digital products
