The Information and Communication Technology Unit sees itself as the driving force behind digitalization at the Bundesrechnungshof. It offers auditors innovative and audit-specific IT solutions and thus focuses on the core business of the Bundesrechnungshof. It provides colleagues in the administration with standardized and efficient IT solutions. All IT solutions are designed in partnership and in close cooperation with the employees of the Bundesrechnungshof.

Your tasks
- Operate, monitor and administer the IT systems with Windows and Linux as well as the IT systems of the Federal Audit Office for containers. Work across the entire stack, from the server to the virtualization platform, the operating system, the management apps for Windows, Linux and the container technologies through to the applications.
- Support the projects for the introduction of container technologies.
- Take responsibility as process owner and application manager.
- Support the automation and standardization of IT infrastructure services.
- Work with and manage leading IT service providers of the federal government and the IT world.
What you bring with you
- Completed vocational training as an IT specialist (f/m/d) with a grade of at least "satisfactory".
- Knowledge in several of the following areas:
- Operational processes according to ITIL, including in change, incident and problem management;
- Administration of Windows or Linux servers (Ubuntu, Red Hat, etc.);
- Virtualization platforms (VMware vSphere or VMware Horizon);
- Container technologies such as Docker or VMware Tanzu or management tools such as Kubernetes or OpenShift;
- Automation tools for orchestration and general configuration and administration of servers, such as Ansible, VMware vRealize or Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager;
- Scripting or programming languages, such as PowerShell, Python, C#, Bash, PHP, Java;
- Database management systems such as Microsoft SQL Server or PostgreSQL;
- Cloud solutions such as Entra AD and Microsoft 365.
- If you have already been working, your current employer has assessed you well, but you are still looking for a new challenge.
- Agree to an extended security check in accordance with Section 9 of the Security Check Act.
- German citizenship.
- Willingness to be taken on as a civil servant if the requirements under career law are met.
We offer
- Enter the service as a civil servant.
- Depending on your aptitude, performance and qualifications, we will offer you a mid-level civil service post up to grade A 9m BBesO. In the Federal Court of Audit, a salary of A 9m + Z BBesO is also achievable for all disciplines; in addition, we regularly carry out promotion procedures to the higher civil service.
- If you do not yet meet the requirements under career law, we will employ you on a permanent basis until you are taken on as a civil servant.
- If you are already a civil servant, we will take you on in a corresponding position.
- The payment of a ministerial allowance of €220 rounds off our financial package.
- In addition to flexible working hours without core hours, we offer a range of special working arrangements and individual part-time models.
