Sr Strategic Planner, Trustworthy Shopping, Trustworthy Shopping Experience, Munich

Position available in Luxembourg, Munich, or Milan.

We are looking for a Sr Strategic Planner. In this role, you will own the strategic planning for our International teams: Trustworthy Shopping across Asia, Europe/UK, Middle East & Africa, India, and Latin America. You will interact with global business teams and senior leadership in Seller Services, Retail, Legal, Public Policy, Product Quality, Brand Registry, Product Safety, as well as tech and operations teams. Your responsibilities include defining our business cycle, driving leadership mechanisms, overseeing key metrics and goals, and implementing strategic projects such as site strategy, regulatory engagement, forecasting, and roadmaps for cost, quality, scale, flexibility, and business continuity to build customer trust.

You should have a proven track record in managing large-scale programs across a matrixed organization, excellent communication skills, and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. Data analysis skills to solve complex problems are essential.

Key job responsibilities

  1. Define and execute strategic planning for our International teams, including financial planning.
  2. Partner with global teams to define business cycles, leadership mechanisms, and oversee metrics and goals.
  3. Implement strategic projects like site strategy, regulatory engagement, forecasting, and roadmaps for customer trust.
  4. Assess and manage regional risks with internal stakeholders.
  5. Support global product safety, quality, and compliance efforts as a subject matter expert.

This position involves travel (10-20%), mainly within Europe and occasionally internationally.

About the team

At Amazon, customer trust is paramount. The Trustworthy Shopping Experience team works with regulators, brands, partners, and customers to mitigate product safety and compliance risks. The International team covers product safety, quality, and compliance across 21 global stores, designing processes, software, and machine learning solutions to protect customers from unsafe or illegal products and ensure a trustworthy shopping environment.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in program or project management
  • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
  • Experience owning program strategy, end-to-end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master's degree or MBA in business, operations, HR, organizational development, instructional design, or related fields
  • Experience leading process improvements
  • Experience in e-commerce, social media, product safety, risk management, compliance, or audit
