* We are seeking individuals with a range of knowledge and skills related to Engineering Technology and Highway Construction to join our team! Salary depends on experience.

Summary of Work

Are you a tech-savvy individual who enjoys working outdoors? Do you have a passion for construction and engineering? If so, we want you to join us as a Construction Technician/Engineering Technician!

In this role, you will conduct field inspections for various construction projects, ensuring compliance with plans, specifications, and contract documents. You will work with advanced equipment like Robotic Total Stations and GPS, and utilize MicroStation and Geopack software to measure, calculate, and generate reports and cross-sections. Additionally, you'll perform daily tests and prepare documentation to ensure materials meet NDDOT standards.

Furthermore, you'll assist project engineers with final record documentation and district design work involving MicroStation. We will provide all necessary training and support to help you succeed.

Minimum Qualifications

To qualify as a Construction/Engineering Tech IV, you need at least six years of relevant work experience. A college-level course or degree in engineering or a related field may substitute for work experience on a year-for-year basis.

For a Construction/Engineering Technician III, a minimum of four years of relevant work experience is required, with substitutions available for college coursework or degrees.

A Construction/Engineering Tech II requires a high school diploma or GED and two years of related experience, with substitutions possible for college coursework or degrees.

A Construction/Engineering Technician I must have completed high school or GED and demonstrated basic math skills.

All levels require the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, lift up to 50 pounds, and possess a valid North Dakota Class D driver’s license for travel to project sites.
