KYC Specialist* Corporate Banking

Berenberg Corporate Banking looks after capital market-related and medium-sized companies. In addition to the traditional corporate customer business, we also service clients in the shipping, real estate, infrastructure and energy as well as structured finance sector. For our customers, we are looking for a dedicated KYC specialist with relevant professional experiences and being enthusiastic about the further development of processes and digital solutions.

Your Role in the team

• Update of national and international customer data of legal entities and foundations as part of applicable KYC and CDD (Client Due Diligence) requirements
• Screenings and background checks of customers via databases to identify risks (sanctions, politically exposed persons (PEPs), embargoes, negative news etc.)
• Direct client contact and in-house communication/coordination with all relevant internal divisions
• Responsible Answering and processing of inquiries from internal divisions and clients in German and English
• Continuous optimization and digitalization of processes and monitoring

Who are we looking for?

• Relevant professional experience in a financial institution with a KYC focus in the context of (international) corporates; knowledge of shipping industry beneficial
• Good knowledge of the common MS Office applications, especially Excel
• Very good knowledge of German and English language
• Structured, reliable and solution-focussed working approach as well as ability to make decisions
