Transportation Specialist (m/f/d) temp. until 31.12.2025

Purpose

The Transportation Specialist is responsible for audit-proof invoice validation, processing, and ION booking of freight invoices. This role supports transparency in freight costs and assists in claim handling processing during staff shortages.

Responsibilities

1. Timely, audit-proof validation and processing of freight invoices and credit notes from adidas European outbound
2. Assigning invoiced freight costs to the internal order of the beneficiary from adidas European outbound
3. Dispute resolution for identified deviations
4. Communication and problem-solving with carriers and the transport manager regarding requirements, deviations, and requesting corrections/debit notes
5. Input and support in optimizing freight invoice processes and tools
6. Tracking and monitoring invoice optimizations, savings, etc.
7. Supporting the monthly preparation of freight cost accruals
8. Comparing and analyzing actual freight invoices/costs against expected costs
9. Supporting claims processing and initiating measures to reduce issues causing claims
10. Providing claim statistics and reviewing them as needed
11. Regular analysis of transport cost developments
12. Utilizing current software for invoice validation and supporting its optimization

• No limitations; all claim cases, B2B and future B2C, must be processed regardless of claim extent

Minimum Qualifications

• Education as an industrial/logistics clerk or a bachelor’s degree in business administration
• Minimum two years’ experience in a logistics company, preferably in billing
• Proficiency in German and English
• MS Office / Excel skills
• Excellent knowledge of SAP and WMS applications
• Strong analytical skills
