So what is the role?

We’re looking for a committed and well-organized part-time (20h/week) team member to support our accounting and administrative operations. In this role, you'll work closely with our tax advisor and Finance Lead and act as an internal point of contact for a variety of topics related to bookkeeping and invoices:

• Manage operational accounting tasks (pre-accounting) and incoming invoice processes
• Serve as internal contact for accounting- and invoice-related questions
• Review incoming invoices for accuracy and completeness
• Communicate with suppliers to resolve invoice issues
• Coordinate with our tax advisor regarding any bookkeeping inquiries
• Support in monitoring invoices, reminders and due dates
• Support monthly and annual closing processes
• Contribute to the development of efficient accounting workflows
• Further development of our accounting and our current accounting logic
• Assist in implementing new tools and automations in the accounting area

This is the next level you achieve after 6 months:

• You understand our chart of accounts and the underlying accounting workflows in detail
• You independently prepare our bookkeeping and act as a reliable interface between the tax advisor and our colleagues
• You maintain a clear overview of open or unclear cases and proactively drive their resolution
• You actively and reliably support timely and accurate monthly closings

What you need for this role:

• Experience in accounting, ideally in collaboration with a tax advisor
• Confident handling of account assignment in accordance with German accounting standards
• Confident use of digital tools (e.g., DATEV Unternehmen Online, Moss; ideally also Shopify or similar platforms)
• Structured, independent and a proactive working style
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills in both German and English, with internal and external stakeholders
• Strong team player
• Affinity for digital and modern ways of working
