Legal Officer (m/f/d)

Mission Brief

As a Legal Officer at Isar Aerospace, you will work in the Legal & Government Affairs department, collaborating with the Director Legal & Regulatory and the in-house legal team of Isar Aerospace. You will provide legal advice across a wide range of business areas, including corporate governance, commercial transactions, compliance, and contract management. Additionally, you will work closely with various departments such as finance, commercial, technical, business development, corporate, and supply chain to manage legal risks and ensure compliance across all company operations.

Your Role in Our Space Mission:

1. Provide support in daily legal operations and advice on issues related to contracts, compliance, data protection, intellectual property, and contract management, with a focus on German corporate law.
2. Support internal stakeholders, including procurement and technical departments, ensuring legal compliance.
3. Assist in corporate transactions, restructurings, and strategic projects.
4. Monitor and ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
5. Draft and review legal documents and conduct legal research.
6. Help improve processes and policies as the company grows.
7. Support cross-functional teams with legal input, fostering a solution-oriented approach.
8. Contribute to compliance programs and increase legal awareness across departments.

Qualification Checklist:

1. Full graduate degree in Law, preferably from a German university or within the German-speaking community.
2. At least 5 years of practical experience in a reputable law firm or in-house legal department; additional experience is a plus.
3. Ability to understand complex issues and provide practical, timely advice.
4. Strong understanding and experience in German corporate law, commercial law, contract law, and compliance is a plus.
5. Willingness to learn and evolve continuously.
6. Autonomous, organized, and rigorous work style.
7. Ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
8. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
9. Excellent interpersonal skills for internal and external collaboration.
10. Openness to work on additional legal matters arising in a fast-paced international environment.
11. Fluency in English and German.
