Job Description:

We are seeking a Principal SAP Consultant with deep expertise in SAP IS-U FICA (Finance & Contract Accounting) to join our Utilities practice. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience leading end-to-end SAP IS-U greenfield implementations, particularly in the energy and utilities sector, with a focus on receivables, dunning, debt collection, and contract accounting processes.

This role requires direct collaboration with business stakeholders, leadership of functional teams, and the ability to design and configure scalable financial processes within the SAP S/4HANA environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and support SAP IS-U FICA implementations in the energy/utilities domain
• Configure applications to support meter-to-cash, dunning, collection, and installment processes
• Design and implement solutions for bank returns, receivables, account assignment, and payment allocation
• Conduct workshops, document business processes, write functional specs, and execute test plans
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration across SAP modules
• Create functional product increments from backlog items during agile sprints
• Monitor system performance and implement improvements for process efficiency
• Stay current on SAP FICA Utilities advancements and industry compliance standards

Required Skills:

• In-depth knowledge of SAP IS-U FICA and UC4G
• Experience in at least 2 full-cycle greenfield SAP IS-U projects
• Strong understanding of energy sector sales and receivables processes (electricity/gas)
• Proven expertise in dunning procedures, payment allocation, collections, and receivables management
• Good knowledge of commercial processes within the energy sector
• Ability to analyze requirements and create high-quality functional documentation
• Agile methodology experience and sprint-based delivery

Preferred Skills:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to quickly understand business context and propose scalable solutions
• Experience working in agile teams with collaborative delivery practices
• Strong team leadership and mentoring ability

Additional Requirements:

• Candidate should have an employer-independent work permit for Germany
• Open to on-site work as required, primarily in Munich or Frankfurt
• German language fluency at minimum B2 level is mandatory
